TDM and Xmas Party

On 5th December Roisín Dowd-Smith (NFGWS/TCD), Karl Richards (Teagasc) and Eddie Burgess (Teagasc) will be presenting 'A discussion on nitrates in groundwater, the nitrogen cycle, and farming methods'. Soil and Rock Logging Course

The IGI are running a course titled 'Soil and Rock Logging to Eurocode 7 (BS 5930)'. Due to the demand for this course it is being run twice during the last week of November (two days per course). The first day covers soil logging, the second day covers rock logging. Places are strictly limited to 12 per course and we expect it will fill up quickly, so please book early by contacting info@igi.ie.

Young Environmentalist Win for Uisce Aille

In May of this year the Uisce Aille project was named as joint winner of the Senior Water Award at the ECO UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards. KINDRA Project

The EU funded KINDRA project has officially launched the European Inventory for Groundwater Research (EIGR) to the public. This tool allows registered users to explore and share groundwater research findings, including scientific papers, technical reports, hydrogeological maps, book chapters, etc. Questions on the Irish contribution to date on KINDRA and the EIGR can be sent to info@igi.ie.
