WEBINAR

GEORISK International Seminar: The right risking mitigation schemes for different geothermal markets. Wednesday 29 April 2020 / 15h00 - 17h00 (CEST). The GEORISK project works to establish risk insurance all over Europe and in some key target third countries to cover the resource risk. 40th Annual Groundwater Conference POSTPONED

Unfortunately due to the ongoing spread of the Coronavirus, the committee has taken the decision not to proceed with the conference planned for the 21st and 22nd of April. Our current intentions are to postpone the conference until the Autumn, further details of which will be decided upon as we assess the situation in Ireland and Europe, where speakers, exhibitors and attendees would be arriving from. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, but am sure all understand given the circumstances.

International Conference

NUIG, Trinity and National Parks and Wildlife with IGRAC are holding an international conference with a workshop on 'Valuing Wetlands' in NUIG on 23rd to 25th June this year dealing with the role of wetlands (both constructed and natural) in catchment hydrology including aspects of climate change and conservation. The workshop is aimed at the problem of the impact of infrastructure (e.g. roads and wind turbines) on boglands and turloughs. These should interest IAH members and, indeed, we would encourage them to come, participate and even present a paper!
