At the IAH AGM to be held on the 6th of November there will be an update on the IAH's plan to become a registered charity. To complete this process a clause must be inserted into the constitution which highlights what makes the IAH a charity. In order to change our constitution we will need to have a vote at the AGM.

Girls into Geoscience

The second ever Girls into Geoscience event is being held on Saturday November 10th at NUIG. Last year's workshop was a great success with inspirational speakers, interactive workshops and speed-dating. Land Use and Water Quality Conference

The fourth Land Use and Water Quality Conference (a conference on the cutting edge of science, management and policy to minimise effects of agriculture and land use changes on the quality of groundwater and surface waters) takes place in Aahus, Denmark in June of next year. The IAH Irish Group committee are requesting any photographs with a hydrogeology theme for use on the photo gallery of the website, and in particular, one or two photographs which can be used for an exhibition stand which is being prepared/designed in time for the annual conference in April. KINDRA Project

The EU funded KINDRA project has officially launched the European Inventory for Groundwater Research (EIGR) to the public. This tool allows registered users to explore and share groundwater research findings, including scientific papers, technical reports, hydrogeological maps, book chapters, etc. Questions on the Irish contribution to date on KINDRA and the EIGR can be sent to info@igi.ie.
